Student shares generational effects of adoption

“The Intergenerational Impact of Adoption – A Grateful Young Man’s Perspective”

Video – A girl’s courageous decision, made decades ago, still echoes on through generations.

The Death of Truth is the Death of Liberty

Some like to imagine truth is self-evident and can defend itself. Unfortunately, neither statement is always true. Our Declaration of Independence has reminded generations that only some truths are self-evident. Surely, truth cannot be something we allow one person to define one way and another person to define exactly opposite. Truth cannot be deemed negotiable.

Truth is sometimes powerless against powerful people who twist words to fit their narrative, and against publications which use theatrics and hyperbole to distract us from what is real. The cost of those deceptions can be catastrophic – the death of liberty!

Deception and its corrosive effects are obvious in many aspects of modern life, but perhaps nowhere more so than in a woman’s womb where many influencers (government officials, clergy, corporations, teachers, and/or parents) tell young people that new human life in the womb is not actually alive. Real life color video imaging, however, belies such assertions. It reveals, in perfect focus, a human heart beating 113 times per minute just 4½ weeks following conception. Our eyes can – and should – see and acknowledge reality!

All too often, young and middle-aged women are told that abortion is the only practical response to an unplanned pregnancy. They are not informed – or at least not adequately informed – about the alternative of adoption, nor about why adoption is preferable to abortion. In fairness to truth and liberty, adoption deserves widespread and increased attention – by both women and men.

Millions of women have not even considered adoption as an option for an unplanned pregnancy. They have been led to think only about the present moment – and almost never about the reality that adoption can have an intergenerational impact. While it is obvious that abortion extinguishes the life and liberty of the human embryo/fetus/baby within the womb, it is less apparent that abortion also ends the possibility of its progeny – the potential of descendants who could experience life for centuries or millennia.

The baseline is that abortion and the failure to consider adoption combine to deny liberty and opportunities to the unborn in at least two ways: by obscuring the scientific and moral truths of human life from conception to birth, and by labeling pro-lifers as anti-woman, controlling, and/or oppressive.

Abortion destroys liberty by trivializing human life and by convincing both women and men to disregard any rights of the unborn. The simple truth is that abortion allows bigger and stronger human beings to use wholly disproportionate power to eliminate smaller and weaker human beings.

For more than 50 years in the United States, a confluence of deceptive arguments and political rhetoric have slowly combined to destroy truth and liberty, leading millions to inaccurately conclude that it is fair to strip life away from the tiniest members of the human family – and to trample upon their interests. Those conclusions have been enabled by sleight-of-hand arguments concealing the fact that each of us, like every person who has ever existed, was once one of the tiniest members of the human family.

Isn’t it time for all of us to admit that the death of truth about abortion truly is the death of liberty?
